No external maintenance

A combination of wood and aluminium are usually used to give buildings the look of timber windows, with minimal maintenance and an aesthetic wood interior.

STM TINIUM are wood windows in timber or oak with highly insulating composite material and aluminium that still retain a traditional look.

Components are externally coated with a maintenance-free building envelope in powder coated aluminium and require no maintenance other than washing a few times a year.
The surface will look like new, year after year.

The TINIUM series is designed with a wood core for interior appearance and functionality, composite material for the joints in the frame to ensure good insulation and moisture-resistant material where the window is vulnerable.

The exterior frame and framework are finished with a sturdy, powder coated aluminium profile. Our aluminium profiles go through a nine-step process and only the best facade-approved polyester powders are used. The result is a beautiful, premium quality surface finish. 

Built-in drains in the composite material ensure that rainwater runs off and does not come into contact with wooden casings or other parts of the building.

Facts about Alu Clad

A combination product is available in timber heartwood and oak, with a wood exterior covered in powder coated aluminium, particularly suitable for windows and doors in the harsh Danish climate. Alu Clad is usually used for buildings that need minimal exterior maintenance, with an aesthetic wood interior. 

Surface treatment:

Timber is surface treated according to “2 ØKO”. The wood is then sanded and top coated with water-based paint in an electrostatic plant. Our aluminium profiles undergo a 9-step chromatisation process followed by a varnishing in accordance with DIN50.939. The standard surface treatment for oak is a 2-step treatment of pigment and then a clear oil treatment.

Components are available in many standard colours (special colours, including Sable colours, are offered for an additional charge). You can order different colours for an aluminium exterior and wood interior in standard colours - for the same price.
